Madrid, April 3, 2025
Spanish private equity firm Diana Capital, specialized in investing in mid-sized companies, announces the entry of Andbank into its shareholder structure with a 14.5% stake. The transaction has been authorized by both the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) and the Andorran Financial Authority (AFA), marking a key step in both firms’ growth strategies. Andbank, a private banking entity with over 90 years of experience managing large estates, will enhance Diana Capital’s fund distribution capabilities.
The alliance strengthens Andbank’s presence in the growing private equity sector, while reinforcing Diana Capital’s position as one of the most relevant firms in Spain’s private equity industry.
As Francisco Gómez-Zubeldia, Vice Chairman and CEO of Diana Capital, explains:
“We are very pleased with this strategic alliance with Andbank, which brings not only fund distribution capabilities, but also resources, talent, and significant experience to create value in the financial sector. This is a key step in advancing our mission as a pioneering private equity fund manager in Spain, with an exclusive strategy focused on investing in Spanish mid-sized companies with high growth potential.”
Andbank’s incorporation also opens new opportunities to expand Diana Capital’s investor base, leveraging Andbank’s extensive client network throughout Spain, where it has a strong presence across various provinces.
Andbank, in turn, strengthens its position in the private equity fund market—a sector in which Diana Capital stands out as one of the most established managers, actively supporting Spanish companies and their management teams in their growth and development for over 20 years.
Carlos Aso, CEO of Andbank Group, added:
“Our entry into Diana Capital’s shareholder base is a clear commitment to the growth of the alternative assets market in Spain. We firmly believe in the potential of Diana Capital and its team to continue delivering long-term value.”
With more than €400 million in assets under management, Andbank’s involvement supports Diana Capital’s efforts to continue diversifying its investor base, consolidating its position as a key player in capital raising for its third private equity fund, Diana Capital III FCR.
