In April 2003, Diana Capital acquired, in co-investment with Axis-ICO, a minority stake in the capital of Grupo Indal, the leading Spanish lighting manufacturer and one of the top six in the sector. Its wide range of products included street, industrial, decorative, urban and indoor lighting.
Value Creation
Since Diana Capital’s investment, the group developed a significant growth strategy by committing the acquisitions of 3E in France, Industria in the Netherlands, WRTL in the United Kingdom and Claude Lefebvre in France. In addition, the group continued to strengthen its organic growth by entering and opening branches in Poland and the Czech Republic, as well as by opening an office in China. This international expansion process gave Indal a commercial presence in a total of 13 countries.
Today, Indal is part of the Philips group, a leader in the lighting sector.
