Diana Capital acquired a minority stake in Lumelco in 2006, an independent air conditioning distribution company and exclusive distributor of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ products in this area.
Value Creation
After Diana’s entry, Lumelco undertook a profound process of professionalisation from an organisational and working capital management point of view. Commercially, it was committed to increasing its penetration in the domestic segment in large specialised stores, increasing its product portfolio to provide a better service to the professional channel and incorporating more sustainable energy solutions such as aerothermal energy or solar panels. In addition, the international activity, virtually negligible before Diana’s entry into the shareholding structure, was boosted with the acquisition of a Portuguese company.
Diana Capital sold its stake to Beijer Ref, a listed multinational company active in the distribution of refrigeration equipment worldwide.
